Passive splitter - easy electrical installation via DT connectors
The usual wiring system in mobile machines is the single-wire harness adopted from the automotive world. The basic idea is to establish a direct connection from the control system to the sensors and actuators distributed in the machine. However, practice shows that the installation system often has to be supplemented by expensive, additional distribution boxes in order to be able to connect customer requirements to the cable harness or to create a measurement option in the event of a fault.
DATA PANEL's xtremeDB passive splitters are perfectly suited for routing up to 16 inputs and outputs available on the controller to the field using DT connector technology. The signal status is displayed by means of LEDs on request and helps with commissioning and troubleshooting. The passive splitters can be integrated into single-core cable harnesses or equipped with a pre-assembled, overmolded homerun cable. The passive splitter thus functions as a sealed and space-saving alternative to the distribution box or as a modular, pluggable extension level on the cable harness.
Depending on the machine situation, a necessary transport separation can be realized easily and without any additional costs with the 18-pole homerun cable. The housing material of all distributors is a reinforced plastic which is completely encapsulated and thus offers the highest protection classes up to IP69K and excellent media resistance with a simultaneously wide temperature range of -40°C ... + 80°C.
Conclusion: Our xtremeDB passive splitters from DATA PANEL with DT connection technology are the robust and cost-efficient alternative to distribution boxes and cable harnesses.
